Certainly there are three major extra steps used in stamped concrete which divide it from other concrete treatments. Very first step involves the overview of a base color. Secondly, an emphasize color is included as an accent, and lastly a pattern is stamped into concrete. These three treatments provide stamped concrete or stained concrete with a its color, shape and texture
Stamped concrete is cemented that is formed and/or textured or stamped to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile, wood, and a variety of other patterns and textures. It is typically used for patios, sidewalks, driveways, pool decks, and interior flooring. Because of it’s versatility, there are an unlimited amount of design options. Stamped concrete is also recognized being appealing and affordable option to using other components including stone, slate or brick.
The base color is the primitive color used. There are a limitless variety of colors to select from. There are two significant techniques to present color to the concrete. One method is to transmit what is referred to as a color hardener. Color hardener is a powder color used to dye the concrete, by essentially throwing it into the surface of the concrete. You transmitted the hardener as quickly as it is floated for the very first time. After allowing the bleed water soak into the hardener you float and delve it in. This technique only covers the surface about 3/16 of an inch but it offers the concrete surface area a longer wear life. The second approach is called integrally colored concrete. The whole volume of concrete is colored by incorporating the color hardener to the truck. The procedure of integrally coloring provides the benefit of the whole volume being colored; even so, the surface strength is not enhanced just like using color hardener.
The showcase color, the secondary color, is utilized to, as the name suggests, highlight the texture and style. It has the same result that shading performs in artwork. The accent color could be achieved during the time of pour or right after the concrete has set.
Concrete stamping is the method which utilizes the concrete stamps making the style in the concrete. Concrete stamps are put on the concrete right after the release has been used. The concrete stamps are pressed into the concrete and after that removed to leave the pattern and structure in the stamped concrete.
